SANTA FE, N.M. — Prosecutors said Thursday they knew “pretty close to the beginning” of their probe into the fatal shooting of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins that criminal charges would be filed. Prosecutors announced Thursday that Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed will each face two counts of involuntary manslaughter. Baldwin was criminally responsible as both the alleged shooter and the “Rust” producer who should have had oversight on safety, officials said. Renner, 52, has been keeping fans updated on his progress since he was hospitalized on New Year’s Day following the accident. Renner had blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries from the accident, his representative, Sam Mast, said earlier this month. Renner went to speak to a family member when the snowplow started to roll toward him. Neighbors helped Renner while he waited 40 minutes for first responders to arrive because of the weather conditions, Balaam said.

A woman broke into Robert De Niro's New York City townhouse Monday and tried to take all the presents around his Christmas tree while he was home, police said. At around 2:45 a.m., officers saw the woman, who is known to police and has prior arrests, inside the basement of the Oscar-winning actor's East 65th Street residence on the Upper East Side. "I didn't go to Robert De Niro's house," she could be heard saying in the video. Aviles has 26 previous arrests, including 16 this year on burglary and petit larceny charges, NBC New York reported. Megan Thee Stallion said she told police she had injured her feet on glass when they asked why she was bleeding, according to the news agency. A woman accused Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter of raping her at a concert in Washington State two decades ago, when she was 17, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday. "He also said he’d turn people against me because he’s Nick Carter and he would wreck my life," the woman is quoted as saying in a news release from her lawyer, Mark Boskovich. In a statement, Michael Holtz, an attorney for Carter, called the allegations "legally meritless" and "entirely untrue." Holtz said the woman had been "manipulated into making false allegations about Nick — and those allegations have changed repeatedly and materially over time. Carter raped her a second time on a bed near the back of the tour bus while she begged him to stop, the suit alleges.
Five women, including two actors who appeared on “The Cosby Show,” filed a lawsuit in New York on Monday, accusing disgraced comedy legend Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting them. The plaintiffs named the actor, Kaufman Astoria Studios Inc., The Carsey-Werner Company and NBCUniversal Media as defendants in the 34-page lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court. NBC News does not typically identify victims of sexual assault, but the five women in this civil action all named themselves in the complaint. When she relented, Cosby allegedly "touched her breasts and without her consent forcibly pressed his penis into" her back, according to the suit.
